Work Package 1

Title : Project management

Objective :

  • The objective of this work package is to manage the project, to ensure that it reaches its objectives plus reporting of progress to the EC.

Work Package 2

Title : System requirements

Objective :

  • Specifications of the scenarios and associated services to be supported by the novel paradigms introduced by the project
  • Assessment of the requirements related to the of existing technological solutions.
 

Work Package 3

Title : System design

Objective :

  • Development and performance analysis of high-level algorithms to be implemented in simple and cheap sensors, providing the interaction among nearby nodes responsible for increased estimation accuracy, increased reliability, fault tolerance and scalability.

Work Package 4

Title : System development and simulation

Objective :

  • System level simulations for the performance evaluation of the whole sensor network, based on the algorithms introduced in WP3, on the radio interfaces specification (second objective) and on the scenario/application requirements specified in WP2.
  • Sensor node circuital design and radio access schemes, both constrained to the requirements on transmitted power and to the achievement of the network performances.
 

Work Package 5

Title : Sensor node development and validation

Objective :

  • Develop the novel type sensor node prototype, taking into account the design specifications of WP4 and the constraints and requirements coming from the scenarios/application (WP2) and the system development (WP3)

 

Work Package 6

Title : Infrastructure integration and proof of concept

Objective :

  • Integrate the project sensor network technology with existing analysis infrastructure for services provision.
  • Deploy and evaluate the performance of the sensor network developed by the project in two real scenarios, in CZ and India, to assess the advantages from the end-user perspective in terms of effectiveness, reliability and accuracy of the provided services.
 

Work Package 7

Title : Dissemination and exploitation

Objective :

  • Dissemination activities through workshops, tutorials, publications, set up of a specific website
  • Exploitation of business logic.

Work Package 8

Title : Validation and impact assessment

Objective :

  • Evaluate the performance of the sensor network developed by the project in real scenarios, emulated through system level simulators, and in a reduced scale field experiments to assess the advantages from the end-user perspective in terms of effectiveness, reliability and accuracy of the provided services.
