IEEE Radio & Wireless Symposium Call for Papers

Submission deadline: 13 July 2007. The 2008 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS 2008) incorporating IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON) will be held in Orlando, Florida, US, on 22-24 January 2008 as part of the Radio Wireless Week technical event. Sessions include Wireless Sensor and Ad Hoc Networks towards Anytime Anywhere Internetworking, Wireless Mesh and Broadband Local/Personal Area Networks, and Ultra-Wideband technologies, and also other topics in the wireless arena. EWSN 2008- European Conference on Wireless Sensor Networks

Call for Papers, deadline: 1st September 2007. EWSN will be held on 30-31 January and 1st February in Bologna, Italy, and is organized by the University of Bologna. This conference intends to create a forum where researchers with different experience and background can discuss cross-layer approaches, novel solutions for specific problems and envisage the future development of wireless sensor networks – WSN - functionalities. Areas of interest include hardware for WSN; physical layer techniques for WSN; communication protocols; operating systems and programming abstractions; middleware and service infrastructures; information processing; security; vertical functionalities; novel applications; prototypes, field studies and testbeds. Will be held on 18-21 June, 2007, in San Diego, California, US. Focus will be on communications, networking, applications, systems and algorithmic aspects of mesh and sensor networks, as well as those that describe practical deployment and implementation experiences. Two workshops are scheduled: one on networking technologies for software defined radio networks (SDR) and a second on Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) engineering and implementation of the GEOSS communications and network infrastructure – this workshop is intended to be a forum to discuss the development and operational issues of an advanced global communications system supporting national, regional and global decisions.
